We absolutely cannot keep socks on Madilyn. She kicks them off. So at night, Daddy had a solution: put his socks on her! It worked 🙂
Mommy and the baby before Wednesday night church:
We’re working on redoing some of the rooms in our house. The first tackle was the nursery. We might end up making some additional changes here, but this morning this is what it looks like!
Madilyn had her 4-month checkup at the doctor yesterday (and 4 shots!) Here are her new measurements:
height: 25 1/4″, weight: 16 lbs. 1 oz., head circum.: 41 (I’m guessing that’s millimeters!)
She’s in the 90th percentile for most of her measurements! The doctor was surprised that she’s loving her exersaucer. He said most babies can’t support themselves in it until 6 months. The nurse was also surprised at how she was reaching and grabbing for things. When she put the measuring tape around her head, Madilyn promptly grabbed it (I’m sure she wanted to help).
The doctor said to start her on cereal at 5 or 5 1/2 months, followed by vegetables and fruit. It’ll be here before I know it!
She’s a pro!
Baby Madilyn will be four months old on Monday! She loves to look at herself in the mirror. She is “finding” her toes and feet and loves to play with them. She is starting to roll over on her side (not completely over yet though). She is sleeping a lot lately, so I think she must be growing! Next week she is having her picture made with Santa and her cousins for the first time! Here are some pictures from this morning. My favorite one of the bunch is first.
